There is No Silence: 4'33" by John Cage (March 2010)

This contest was announced with a deadline of April 1 (April Fools Day). John Cage's piece "4'33" has no sounds of its own; the performer is to play nothing for 4'33" while the music comes from unintended or environmental sounds. While this contest may have been initiated partly in jest, a lot of people entered it and came up with some cool pieces. Here's the description of "There Is No Silence" I wrote in 2010:
John Cage 4’33” remix:
"This is a simulation of what 4'33" might sound like if the waves from tv, radio, cell phones, etc (which constantly envelop us without our perceiving them) were within human hearing range. In reality, it would probably be far more chaotic than this piece, but I wanted to make it somewhat listenable and entertaining. I've got to hand it to John Cage …"
