My Brain Is 1929: "My Brain is Working Overtime" by Rivers Cuomo (August 2009)

from Reverse Engineering: Remix Contest Music 2009-2012, vol. 1 by David Minnick

about

I used only the vocal track from Rivers Cuomo's rock anthem "My Brain is Working Overtime". I reharmonized the vocal track and wrote parts for percussion, acoustic bass, acoustic guitar, banjo, xylophone, music box, violins, clarinets, bass clarinet, trombone, trumpet and flute. The end result was a slightly creepy 1920's-sounding cartoon jazz song.
